DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A cool antique signet ring featuring an enamelled Union Jack on the face, complete with ropes and flagpole. It dates from the latter half of the 19th Century, modelled in 9 karat gold, and is ideal for wear as a gents pinky ring - but substantial enough for wear on another finger if that's more your scene.

The flag of the United Kingdom is often incorrectly referred to as the Union Jack. This name only applies when the flag is flown at sea (as pictured left), in all other land-based instances it's simply the Union Flag.
